The historic Medinah at the Country Club in Illinois will play host to the 39^thinstallment of the Ryder Cup. This is the first time Ryder Cup has come to Illinois.

Rising junior Andrew Presley, sophomore Stewart Jolly and incoming freshman Zach Wright have qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colo., on Aug. 13-19.

Furyk Looks to Put 2011 Campaign Behind Him

Ken Jowdy Golf brings you this piece from ESPN. Jim Furyk, 41, is coming off a frustrating year in which he endured the worst slump of his 16-year career. After having won three times during the 2010 season, including the Tour Championship that led to the FedEx Cup title and player of the year honors, he didn't win once in 2011.
